Subject: Adobe Max – ACCESSIBILITY Request

To Whom It May Concern,

Adobe has always made a clear commitment to accessibility. As a Deaf individual, I have appreciated many of the features that enhance my ability to access your content over the years. 

I have always wanted to attend Adobe MAX Conference, however, the tickets have never been affordable for a Deaf multimedia designer like me who lives in Mumbai, India.

Thanks to islconnect.net, I was able to attend an info session on Adobe MAX for the members of the Deaf community and learned that this year I can access the conference for FREE! I am excited and very grateful for this opportunity.

I understand that you will be providing captioning services in English. However, I am not fluent in English and unfortunately, the sessions would still not be accessible to me. Here is where I am asking Adobe to stand by its commitment to accessibility. 

Your website states that “Adobe is dedicated to supporting accessibility” and the Adobe Max Conference FAQs state, “Adobe welcomes the participation of individuals with disabilities and will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations to enable equitable participation at Adobe MAX.”

My understanding is that the conference is providing linguistic access to content to individuals who are not fluent in English in a certain number of languages (Japanese, German & French). I would like to request that access be given to the international Deaf population as well, via International Sign Language (this would be the most accessible for Deaf individuals around the world). I understand that this request comes a bit last minute, however, as you can imagine, the Deaf community is almost always last to receive access to information, especially when it comes to professional development and innovative projects, due to lack of access and accessibility to content.
