Lasta Maharjan is a volunteer teacher from Nepal who joined ISL Connect in May 2025. She first taught English grammar and poetry to Nepali Deaf students as a volunteer for three months and later became a teacher for Nepali students.

Since February 2026, she has also been volunteering with Indian students, teaching Book/DWG. She enjoys learning Indian Sign Language and supporting Deaf students through education.

Her mission is to help Deaf students improve their English, build confidence, and become independent and successful in life. She believes that education, sign language, and kindness can break barriers.

She believes that together we can learn, grow, and inspire the Deaf community worldwide.
